Multipurpose flat wagon

The flat wagon is designed to transport wheeled and tracked vehicles, cargoes packed in crates, containers, metal structures, long and other cargoes (with load on floor both equally distributed and concentrated) which do not need weather protection. The wagon is suitable for operation on 1,520 mm gauge railways in Ukraine, CIS, Georgia, the republics of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

Design peculiarities:

– the flat wagon has wood and metal flooring which makes it suitable to install and fix mounting devices of the wheeled and tracked vehicles and other elements as well; if required by a customer, the flat wagon may be manufactured with metal flooring;

– walls (flaps) are articulated to a frame and in upstanding (closed) position are held with cuneal stops;

– in a lowered position, longitudinal sides are under the floor level which allows to fix cargo to the loops of wood stanchions and lets vehicles drive onto the wagon from a side ramp;

– end walls are equipped with torsion bars which keep them in raised position above automatic couplers; this protects the sides against damaging during shunting operations. In lowered position (under load) the sides lay over supporting brackets which lets vehicles drive onto the wagon from an end ramp and move along the train.
