Covered hopper wagon for mineral fertilizers and raw materials

The covered four-pocket hopper wagon is designed to transport mineral fertilizers, raw materials for their production, and other similar cargoes providing weather protection of the cargo. The wagon is suitable for operation on the network of mainline railways.

Design features:

– discharging is performed into the area between rails through the unloading hatches;

– the car is designed with lever and screw drive in unloading mechanism, radial thrust bearings, and a handwheel of increased diameter which significantly reduces efforts while closing and opening of unloading hatches;

– the framework of the walls (stakes and roof traverse arcs) is made outside of the body which allows to perform a proper anticorrosion treatment of the inner body sheathing surface, to prolong operation life of the wagon and to reduce the time needed to prepare a wagon before loading;

– comfortable operation of the wagon is ensured due to a centralized sealing of loading and unloading covers with the application of two seals.
