Measuring hopper wagon

A specialized self-discharging wagon is suitable for transportation, mechanized and metered unloading, and flattening of ballast bulk materials. The wagon is suitable for operation on the network of 1,520 mm gauge railways.

The wagon may be used in construction, repairs, and renewal of a railway track both with wooden and reinforced concrete ties with fastenings of all types.

Design features:

– discharging in a preset volume is performed with simultaneous distribution and leveling of the ballast along the track and down the travel of the train;

– unloading of the ballast according to the following schemes:

1. a) in the middle of the track between the rails;
2. b) onto both sides of the track simultaneously;
3. c) between the rails and onto both sides of the track simultaneously;
4. d) onto one of the sides of the track;

– exploitation of the wagon allows to avoid the manual labour during ballast laying and handling of the cargo in the places of ballast temporary storing.
