Hopper wagon for iron-ore pellets (with increased load capacity)

The hopper wagon is an advanced model of the serially produced car for iron-ore pellets of model 20-4015 and is designed to carry iron-ore pellets and sintered ore. The wagon is suitable for operation on 1,520 mm gauge mainline railways and railways of industrial enterprises.

The wagon design provides for a mechanized loading through the open top of the car body and discharging onto the receiving devices on either side of a track (into hoppers, on the platforms).

Design features:

– non-rigid (‘floating’) mounting of body sheathing panels allows to load cargoes with temperature of up to 700°С;

– discharging mechanism with a pneumatic drive and automatic locking ensures a secure shutting of hatch covers and allows to automate a discharging process;

– the discharging mechanism is designed with a driving levers locking system which eliminates risks of actuating of the discharging mechanism in case of operating personnel faults and improves the safety of the rail car operation;

– discharging shaft bearing assemblies have polymeric spacers which expand operating life and do not need greasing.

The hopper wagon may be used for carrying weather resistant cargoes.
