Wagon with raisable body for apatite

The wagon is designed to carry an apatite concentrate from sites of its production to places of storage and processing equipped with special discharge stations and high-capacity hoppers. The wagon is suitable for operation on 1,520 mm gauge mainline railways. The vehicle may also be used for mass transportation of powder or pelletized bulk cargoes.

Design features:

– loading of the wagon is performed through four oval loading hatches along the roof. Loading covers in closed position are automatically locked with special devices;

– unloading is performed automatically by the locomotive’s forward motion without uncoupling while a train consisting of 8 to 10 wagons goes through unloading station mounted over receiving hoppers. The full unloading is finished in 3 minutes;

– the wagon body is mounted on the underframe with the option of vertical movement and is equipped with special shafts and rollers. As the wagon passes through the unloading station, the rollers interact with sloping guiding rails of the station which lifts the body from the underframe to a height of 650 mm. At this time, unloading covers bend down and form double slope bottom so that cargo pours out through the gateway into hoppers on both sides of a railway track.
