Gondola wagon for technological chips

The gondola wagon is designed suitable for transportation of technological chips and short cut wood on the mainline railways of 1,520 mm gauge in Ukraine, CIS, Georgia, the republics of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

The wagon is manufactured in two modifications: drop-bottom and solid-bottom.

Discharging of a drop-bottom gondola wagon is performed through discharge hatches in the floor or by other permitted means.

Discharging of a solid-bottom gondola wagon is performed with the help of a rotary car dumper or by other permitted means.

Design features:

• top chords of side and end walls are made of roll-formed closed rectangular sections of increased stiffness;
• frames of end walls are reinforced with three horizontal chords;
• the main bearing elements of frame, body, sheathing, and discharge hatch cover panel are made of steel of category 14 and strength grade not less than 345;
• discharge hatch covers have reinforced frame made of standard sections.

The mentioned design features ensure reliable protection of structure elements during the operation.
